As our Chief Engineer, you’ll oversee all aspects of the hotel’s physical operations, including maintenance, repairs, and ensuring the property looks and operates at its best. Here's how you'll make a difference:

• Team Leadership: Schedule, train, and lead a dedicated maintenance team, ensuring proper coverage and a culture of safety and efficiency.
• Preventive Maintenance: Manage and execute the hotel's preventive maintenance program to keep systems running smoothly and efficiently.
• Safety First: Train staff on safety protocols and ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Problem-Solving: Respond quickly to maintenance issues to minimize downtime and guest inconvenience.
• Facility Care: Oversee the maintenance of the building’s interior and exterior, from HVAC systems to landscaping.

We’re looking for a proactive, hands-on professional with:

• Education & Certifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent vocational training.
  • Building trade licenses or certifications are a plus.
  • Two years of apprenticeship in a stationary engineer’s program or equivalent experience.
• Experience:
  • 5+ years in general building maintenance, construction, or a supervisory role.
  • Hotel maintenance experience is preferred but not required.
• Skills:
  • Strong technical expertise in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry.
  • Computer literacy.
  • Bilingual skills (English/Spanish) are a plus.
• Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift/move up to 50 pounds.
  • Comfortable bending, stooping, kneeling, and working in high temperatures near heavy equipment.
  • Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
