What you will be doing

Balance and audit for accuracy room revenue, food and beverage revenue, cashier’s reports, and guest and house accounts and telephone and movie revenue; assisting the preparation of all reports relevant to daily revenues. Complete and transmit daily management and accounting reports and supporting documents.  You will act as hotel system liaison during night hours and perform all Guest Service Representative functions as required; you may assist in booking room reservations; answering hotel phone calls and notifying guests of message.  You may also assist with other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Requirements include basic reading, writing and math skills. May be required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays. This job requires ability to perform the following: regularly required to talk, hear and interact with guests. Frequently is required to use hands and fingers to handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls. Occasionally required to walk, sit, and reach with hands and arms. frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds,and stand for long periods of time. Other duties may include:

1. Is Able To Function As A Front Desk Agent Especially In Terms Of Check-In And Check-Out Procedures.
2. Knows Room Locations, Types Of Rooms Available, And Room Rates.
3. Run End Of Day Process / Night Audit Process On The Property Management Software.
4. Checks Front Office Accounting Records For Accuracy And, On A Daily Basis, Summarizes And Compiles Information For The Hotel'S Financial Records.
5. Tracks Room Revenue, Occupancy Percentages, And Other Front Office Operating Statistics.
6. Prepares A Summary Of Cash, Check, And Credit Card Activities, Reflecting The Hotel'S Financial Performance For The Day.
7. Verifies All Account Postings And Balances Made During The Day By Front Desk Agents
8. Thoroughly Understand And Adheres To Proper Credit, And Cash Handling Policies And Procedures.
9. Knows How To Use Front Office Equipment.
10. Uses Proper Telephone Etiquette.
11. Attends Department And Hotel Meetings.

Education & Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and experience.

One to three months in related experience and/or training.
