Join Our Team as an Executive Chef
Embassy Suites by Hilton St. Augustine in Saint Augustine, FL is seeking a seasoned culinary professional who is looking for an exceptional place to grow their career.
Your Role
As our Executive Chef, you will oversee all culinary operations at our hotel to ensure outstanding guest service. This includes directing all culinary activities, maintaining food quality and presentation, ensuring compliance with safety and sanitation standards, and managing the profitability of the kitchen. You will work closely with the Director of Food and Beverage to create innovative menus that cater to regional tastes and current trends. Additionally, you will interact with guests to gather feedback and make necessary improvements.
Requirements
To excel in this role, you must possess basic literacy and math skills, as well as some computer proficiency. The ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays is essential. Physical requirements include the ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for extended periods, and work in high-temperature environments.
Qualifications
- Two-year certificate from college or technical school; or equivalent experience
- Three or more years of experience as an Executive Chef or Executive Sous Chef in a similar hotel environment
- Banquet and catering experience is a must
- Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, including Excel and Word
- Strong leadership skills with a focus on team development
