At Holiday Inn Killeen – Fort Hood, we are seeking an enthusiastic Line Cook to join our dynamic team. Responsibilities:
- Banquet experience helpful but not needed
- Have previous prep or line cook experience
- Understanding and knowledge of safety, sanitation, and food handling procedures
- Follow instructions from our executive or sous chef; Ability to take direction
- Ability to work in a team environment or on own based on hotel occupancy and other hotel activities
- Bring our delicious culinary creations to life by carefully and safely preparing food according to direction and customer orders
- Collaborate with the talented kitchen staff to cook menu items to perfection
- Ensure stations are well-stocked with necessary supplies
- Maintain cleanliness in the kitchen area and handle leftover food responsibly
- Stock inventory appropriately to guarantee smooth operations
- Deliver high-quality food in a timely fashion, ensuring customer satisfaction
- Adhere to nutrition, sanitation, and safety regulations
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude when interacting with coworkers and customers
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 year culinary experience
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, handling objects and equipment to maintain the facility, bending, stooping, and kneeling
