Essential Functions

  • Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies
  • Bring designated culinary dishes to life by carefully and safely preparing food according to direction and as ordered by the server
  • Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
  • Answer, report and follow executive or sous chef’s instructions
  • Clean up station and take care of leftover food
  • Stock inventory appropriately
  • Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion
  • Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standard
  • Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers

Job Knowledge/ Skill and Abilities

  • Proven cooking experience such as experience as a Line Chef, Restaurant Cook or Prep Cook
  • Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
  • Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
  • Familiar with industry’s best practices


  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 1 year culinary experience
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time
  • Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, handling objects and equipment to maintain the facility, bending, stooping and kneeling
  • Full evening availability (1p-930p) and able to work weekends, and/or holidays
