What you will be doing

Selling facilities, services, and staff of the resort in accordance with the facilities business/marketing plans in order to meet or exceed budgeted sales department room night and revenue goals.

Weekly telephone research professionally qualifying all local and regional outside sales calls.  Appointments should be made where possible and specific information obtained prior to actual call.  Responsible decision makers name and potential annual sleeping rooms/resort revenue should be obtained prior to actual call.  Fridays or non "direct selling" times are suggested for this duty. 

Implementation of 80 activity goals per month to include sales calls, site visits and prospecting.  Out of town solicitation is also to be made when requested (3-5 day trips).

Proper documentation in Delphi for "Active and Inactive" traces depicting all outside sales and inside sales call activity.  In addition, complete weekly highlights based on activity.

Upon request of clients, book overnight accommodations for all accounts with 25 room nights or less on peak.  Upon return of appropriate personnel communicate clearly all tractions made.

Correspond with potential customers providing any requested information concerning bids, proposals, confirmation of bookings, thank you letters, follow up letters, etc.  In conjunction with other office personnel, maintain accurate and up to date records of all sales department functions and transactions.  

Conduct hotel tours and entertain qualified potential clients in accordance with the company and property policies.

Assist the Director of Sales and Marketing in the research and development of any annual business or marketing plans directly related to their market segments or territories and handle research, prepare development and execution of annual marketing initiatives throughout the year.

Attend local Hotel/Restaurant Marketing Events as requested.

Gather Marketing materials for the hotel/restaurant to submit to for posting on all Social Media Channels.

Submit required reports to Director of Sales and Marketing.

Local community involvement as it benefits the hotel, via approved memberships in organizations.

Contribute and work as a "team" member in all facets of the position.

Perform other services and duties as requested.  Executive Meeting Manager may be called on to host functions and participate in, or conduct sales blitzes, travel and work extended hours to achieve departmental goals.


Requirements include basic reading, writing and math skills.  May be required to work nights, weekends and/or holidays.  This job requires ability to perform the following: regularly required to talk, hear and interact with guests. The employee is frequently required to type, stand; walk; and use hands to finger, handle or feel objects tools, or controls. Occasionally required to work, sit and reach with hands and arms,  Frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods of time.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Education & Experience:

Four year college or university program certification; or equivalent combination or education and experience.

One to three years related experience and/or training.
