The role is to sell group, business travel and catering services of the hotel in accordance with business plan in order to meet or exceed budgeted group, transient and catering (if applicable) revenue goals.  This role will be working day to day with the general manager and Area Sales Executive.  Key performance indicators are RevPAR Index, BT & Group revenue performance vs. budget, group pace and achievement of assigned sales activities. 


Responsible to assigned quarterly/annual booking goals in group, transient and catering (if applicable) segments.

Property level booking and actualization – direct booking system entry

Prepare all Property Sales Proposals, Contracts, Group Resumes, BEO’s, Reservation Links, etc.

Local and Lead Channel Retrieval/Response – complete documentation of client interaction

All local Direct Sales action execution as assigned by General Manager.

Respond to inquiries, walk ins and inbound sales calls in a timely manner.  

Conduct outside sales calls with key local target accounts, in partnership with GM and Area Sales Executive.

Conduct Site Visits in partnership with GM and Area Sales Executive. 

Local Community Event participation in partnership with GM as appropriate to market

Monitor and communicate Comp set Intel to GM and Area Sales Executive.

Participate in Revenue Strategy Meeting as needed for business review

Complete and accurate utilization of all brand tools and programs.

Participate in execution of Revenue Excellence plans to achieve budget and grow RevPAR Index.

Ensure compliance with HVMG sales SOPs. 

Be accountable around sales activities and sales goals at your assigned property.

Follow sales systems best practices and usage standards (i.e. Delphi, STS)

Partner with digital marketing and revenue management teams to optimize total hotel revenue.

Submit required weekly/monthly/quarterly/annual reports accurately and timely.

Contribute and work as a “team” member in all facets of the position.



Associate degree in Hotel Management, Business, marketing, or a relevant field of work, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.


  • Minimum of 1 – 2 years hotel sales or front of house hotel operational experience, primarily in select or focused service hotel environments.    
  • Excellent written, verbal and non-verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with brand sales systems.  
  • Must be proficient in MS, Excel, and Opera Software
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret hotel specific reports
  • Ability to effectively present information, respond to questions from clients, managers and the general public.
