What you will be doing

In this role, you will be responsible for all excellence in guest services for the property as directed by hotel/company leadership ( Assistant General Manager ) .  This position is a strategic partner who helps the property achieve its goals by being an advocate, a  leader, and champion for inspiring achievement in the rooms division / front desk, guest services and housekeeping.  The Director supervises all of the Rooms Operations ie , front office reception, guest services,  housekeeping, laundry, public areas, retail as well as partners with the General Manager assisting with all areas of the resort. 

Assistant General Manager must harmonize with the Embassy Suites and Hilton cultures, as well as our beach and resort community culture, our mission statement, our core company values, and quality standards to ensure maximum potential for all areas is achieved.  This person must create an exceptional climate of professional and personable service that ensures the engagement of our amazing employees, our valued guests, and ownership. This Leader must ensure compliance with all federal, state, local health, Hilton Clean Stay, safety, sanitation and alcohol  guidelines and standards.

Requirements

Requirements include personal response to all guests immediate needs, College level communication in reading, writing, math and multiple platforms computer programs ( P.O.S. entry  and programming and training experience necessary )   

In Hospitality you will be required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays. This position requires the ability to perform the following: regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds, frequently standing up and moving about the work areas, handling objects and equipment to help maintain the areas facility, frequently bending, stooping and kneeling, working in areas of high temperatures around heavy equipment found in that of a hotel resort / kitchen / restaurant and dining environment.

Education & Experience

Four year degree from college or technical school; or equivalent combination of education plus resort hospitality experience

Five (5) or more years of experience in a food and beverage leadership role in a comparable beach resort environment

Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively lead, instruct, motivate and develop other team members
